OPSIM 4.0 Released
20/12/2023
We are pleased to announce that OPSIM 4.0 is now available to all existing users, with a new modern look, but much more than that.
A new "Delay Causes" block will allow you to link your limits to specific, named causes of delay and report on these to see where downtime comes from, check out the new Delay Causes tutorial to get started. You can also now define multiple types of cost, in order to e.g. track both monetary and environmental impacts of each scenario.
If working regularly with metocean data from the same sources, you can now save custom layouts as a template, and if your models are getting complex, you can now zoom in and out on the simulation canvas.
Change Log
- Added delay causes feature to allow limiting criteria (such as on task types in a task list) to blame a specific named cause in the event that the criteria are not satisfied. This allows for the overall delay for each task list to be split into each of these causes, without the need to run specific scenarios and sensitivities (though this may still be desirable to capture "knock-on" effects). See documentation for the Delay Causes block and there's a new tutorial to get you started.
- Added expanded costs feature to allow for multiple categories of cost. Previously only a single category of cost could be associated with tasks (assumed to be equivalent to financial cost). It is now possible to define multiple named cost categories to cover e.g. both financial and environment costs, such as CO2 emissions.
- Can use scrollwheel in simulation canvas to zoom in/out, and can now pan the simulation model by dragging with the right button.
- Can now save custom presets for the layout of metocean data files.
- Added an option to scenario block metocean data filtering to apply an additive adjustment to the value in addition to a multiplicative factor.
- Changed logic of Last Chance Forecast such that the "Never Exceed" limit which was previously operating on the opposite logic to most limits (false = good) is now renamed to "Operation Limit" and works more consistently compared to other limits. Existing files will be updated and the logic corrected via a NOT to maintain the correct behaviour.
- Bugfix for progress forecast report - if counter was being updated in increments other than 1, the report was showing the number of trips/increments and not the actual steps by which the tracker was incremented.
- Bugfix for crash when duplicating proxy sets.
